For the shoot we hired hand models, a food stylist and we went though a careful process to find the perfect kitchen locations to act as backdrop for the food prep. This was the more artisanal, rustic kitchen.
For lighting we used Profoto D2400 watt packs and placed a pack outside of the kitchen and one inside. By using Profoto Telezoom reflectors outside we were able to create daylight flooding through the window, which we then counter balanced with the careful use of multiple softboxes inside the room. All the photos were captured with a Phase One DF+ body and an IQ260 back for incredible detail in the images.
Cranberries being Washed in a Kitchen Sink
Cranberries are always a tricky item to find for shoots as their season is relatively short. Sometimes you'll order whole cranberry bushes from the farm's green house to make sure you have something for the shoot. I love the hint of boxes and bushes of extra cranberries in the foreground.
